Intramuscular Injection Sites

The areas where you can inject intramuscularly include:

  1. Deltoid (Upper Arm):
    • Location: Upper part of the arm, about 2-3 fingers below the acromion (shoulder).
    • Instructions: Relax the arm. Mark the center of the fleshiest part of the deltoid muscle. Clean the area with alcohol and then inject at a right angle (90 degrees) to the skin.
  2. Vastus Lateralis (Outer Thigh):
    • Location: Outer part of the thigh, in the middle third.
    • Instructions: Sit or lie down with the leg slightly bent. Clean the area with alcohol. Insert the needle at a right angle into the middle part of the thigh muscle.
  3. Gluteus (Buttock):
